Garments of Paradise

Sahl bin Mu'ädh bin Anas Al-Juhani narrated from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever leaves (valuable) dress out of humility to Allah while he is able to (afford it), Allah will call him before the heads ofncreation on the Day of Judgement so that he can chose whichever Hulal of faith he wishes to wear." (Hasan)

Jami` at-Tirmidhi Vol 4 Hadith 2481

This Hadith is Hasan and the meaning of his saying: "Ijulal of faith" is the garments of Paradise which are given to the people of faith. Comments: Allah loves the act of a Muslim who, though well-to-do and rich, avoids wearing ostentatious garments out of modesty. However, not to wear fine garments because of the fear that those who, thinking him to be rich, would beg money from him, or wearing shabby clothes in order to impress the people with one's piety and abstinence is plain hypocrisy unbecoming of a true believer.
